You're History

 

During the last 2 terms the drama crew have been working on a production, You're History. A group of school kids go on an adventure traveling through time. This was performed at the Lawson Field Theatre.

Sunflower Comp

 In the hub we have recently started a sunflower growing competition. We are writing log books about our plants and what we are doing to grow great or not so great sunflowers and do it again using a different or the same method. We are only allowed to use organic fertilizers such as worm tea and water.  I will post awhoto of the finished product when there is one!

Anxiety

 

Me and five other people worked in a group with a student teacher (Miss Campbell) to create a stop motion. We put our anxiety about intermediate on a scale of 1 to 10 at the start and the end of making our video. We had 3 30 minute lessons and one lesson that stretched all the way until lunch time. Hope you enjoy!

Plaster of Paris Tiles

 Recently we had our art week which meant that all  the teachers had an arty activity for us throughout the week. One of the activity's that we  did was making Plaster of Paris tiles with Mr S. Here is the process we used to make them:

First Mr S "Borrowed" some sand from the beach and we pressed the sand into the bottom of some ice cream containers, making sure not to crack the sand. Then we pressed toy animals, fruit and our initials into the sand, still making sure that the letters were the right way round. Then we poured the Plaster of Paris into the sand, and waited for it to dry. Last, we painted them.

Calendar Art 2020

This year for our calendar art we drew 2 point perspective pictures of our dream shops. 

Calendar art is when you do some art, then it gets sent away and turned into calendars, note books and mouse pads.
