Today I would like to tell you how my term has been. This terms inquiry topic was Culture City. Each week we had to do a project on a culture and use a paper doll to display the culture's national costume. We also performed our kapa haka bracket at the Turanganui schools performances. See more about this HERE. Another fun thing that happened this term was the school athletics. There was lots of house group action and house chants.
We had been practicing for three weeks, but the real day had come. House colours were worn and splattered all over our bodys. Nervously jogging over to the reserve we sat down. The year 0s went first and so on. After sprints we went to do high jump. Then we went to throw a ball. Last we did long jump.
In my literacy group each pair had to do a project on a culture, my pair did ours on the icelandic culture. Here is a link to our project. Link!
We also did just dance and furniture olympics. Just dance is when there are dancers on the screen and you choose the person you want to be, you have to do the dance moves that that character does. sometimes there are groups of 4 and sometimes groups of 2. We also did furniture olympics. Furniture olympics is when in your group you get told an object and you have to try and make it with your bodys.
This is my last year at WBS and I have enjoyed my time there.
Yours sincerely
Rosie
